Camping: Pineview Reservoir
On-Line Reservations Now Available!
Pineview reservoir is a popular summer getaway for the Ogden area folks. This is a reservoir of approximately 3000 acres. It can be rather busy in the summertime and the number of boats launched can be restricted. The temperature can be a bit cooler than down in the valley and the air is clearer. Pineview is surrounded by mountains and the scenery is quite appealing. The town of Hunstville is located nearby, any item you forgot can be procured there.
There
are two campgrounds serving the Pineview area. Anderson Cove is located
on the shores of the reservoir. This campground features 68
sites, each site is $16.00 per night. The sites are well spaced
and there are plenty of trees providing shade. A few of the sites
are located directly on the shoreline. The campground is very
clean and well laid out. All roads are paved and the area is
kept very clean. There is a large beach somewhat close to the
camping area. There are also several large open areas featuring
picnic pavilion areas and volleyball courts.
Jefferson
Hunt is a bit more rustic, dirt roads and more overgrown.
Jefferson Hunt is $12.00 per night. This campground features a
bit more shade than Anderson Cove. There are 29 sites to choose
from, some fairly close to each other and some isolated.
