This is what has become of the parking lot for the Gate Buttress. This project is supposed to last for some time. The forest below the buttress was once filled with enchanting problems on numerous boulders. Who knows what effect the project will have on this magnificent playground. But then again it is their land and we must be happy they let us climb on it in the first place. A lot of the boulder problems in this canyon were formed by giant boulders being broken up by the pioneers to get granite to build their temple. So we can only hope there will be new problems to be found once they are done.
