Looking for Fun Things to do in Utah Around Thanksgiving?

On the biggest shopping day of the year, try something fun and take the train downtown for a day of shopping. As evening approaches, watch for Santa to arrive and the Christmas tree to light up for the first time.

The Gingerbread House Festival at Thanksgiving Point is November 11 - 12. Thanksgiving Point also hosts the First Feast on Nov. 18 - 19, a reenactment of the first harvest feast of 1621, complete with actors playing roles consistent with the time.

Learn about the first Thanksgiving with the Shoshone people at the Ogden Nature Center.

Feast with the Beast at Hogle Zoo on November 24, 2005 from 9 am until noon. A full Thanksgiving feast will be prepared with different animals receiving separate portions of the meal.

Also, on November 30, the zoo offers free admission all day long!
